Darren Cardona
Designer
Darren graduated with a BA in architecture from Cal Poly Pomona in 1993. While attending Cal Poly, he worked for JFP and Associates in Orange, CA as well as Pacific Design International in Yorba Linda, and worked as a designer on custom homes in Noel Ranch, Marbella, Newport Harbor and Orange Park Acres. Following his graduation, Darren began an apprenticeship with Harry Fox and Associates in Bel Air, CA. Working in all phases from design to construction he worked on numerous residential estates in Brentwood, Beverly Hills and Bel Air. Following his apprenticeship with Fox, Darren worked as a freelance design consultant for Barry Beer and Associates in Marina Del Rey. During this association, Darren had the opportunity to work as a landscape designer on a multitude of projects including the award winning Jacob's residence in Malibu as well as projects published in The New American Pool by James Trulove. Rounding out his expierience, Darren freelanced for structural engineer firm Atapour and Associates in La Jolla. While working there Darren was responsible for production of all CAD documents including libraries, churches, high schools and high-end residences. Currently, Darren is principal of Darren Cardona Design and has focused his design career doing residential renovations throughout Southern California.
